Mossberg Adaptor Plate

Mossberg receivers are made from aluminum and are therefore not magnetic. Although internal steel components provide some magnetic attraction, it is not strong enough for secure duty use. This adapter plate adds the necessary steel contact area for a stronger, more reliable hold—helping keep the shotgun securely in place during SWAT operations.

Expand your existing Magnetic Shotgun System to fit the Mossberg 500 Shockwave and Mossberg 590. This adapter plate mounts to the receiver using high-strength double-sided adhesive and the included replacement receiver pin. Select either left-side or right-side carry when ordering.

Installation

Ensure the shotgun is completely unloaded before beginning.

1. Clean the mounting area with the included alcohol wipe and allow it to dry.
2. With the adhesive backing still attached, test-fit the plate and confirm its position.
3. Remove the existing receiver pin.
4. Remove the adhesive backing.
5. Use the included replacement pin/screw to guide the plate into position.
6. Align the plate’s bottom lip with the bottom lip of the receiver, beginning on the side closest to the barrel.
7. Press the plate firmly against the receiver and hold it in place.
8. Install and secure the included replacement pin/screw.
9. Allow the adhesive to cure undisturbed for at least 12 hours.

Important: Do not attach or test the Magnetic Shotgun System immediately after installation. The adhesive must cure for a full 12 hours first.
