The precision-fit shell accommodates both the standard slim battery and the extended high-capacity battery with a firm, consistent friction fit. The design of this radio requires a retention strap. Ours secures to a integrated, laser cut tab, not the radio knobs.  The "Button shield" option is for the officers that mount this on their belts and have an exterior vest.  The shield prevents the vest from changing your channel while sitting.

• Battery size information.  The pouch comes set for retention on the smaller, flush fit, 4400 aMh battery.  You can loosen the retention screws in order to accommodate the larger aMh batteries.  Your battery size is printed on the info sticker of your battery.
