Every breacher who has ever been issued a shotgun has had the same thought: “How do I carry this thing?”
I had that same thought years ago and spent countless hours looking for a solution. I couldn’t find one, so I started down the long road of developing my own.
After nine years of development and refinement, our Magnetic Shotgun Retention System has become a trusted solution for breachers around the world. Now, we’ve adapted that same proven system for the Genesis Arms Breaching shotgun!
The system functions just like our original 870 and Mossberg versions. It’s designed to balance retention with accessibility, keeping your breaching shotgun secure while allowing you to acquire it quickly when needed. Just as importantly, you can “re-holster” it just as fast, getting you back on your rifle and into the stack.
The Genesis Arms shotgun is a relatively heavy breaching tool, so I designed this system with an elongated profile that allows the shotgun to be carried directly on your body armor rather than your belt. This helps distribute the weight more evenly across your kit while positioning the shotgun lower for easier access and re-holstering, especially for operators with limited shoulder mobility.
The system utilizes multiple high-strength magnets to securely retain the shotgun, along with an integrated mechanical retention stop that engages the front of the magazine well, between the two bolts securing the Genesis Arms metal plate. This keeps the shotgun properly aligned with the retention system while preventing it from sliding downward.
The result is a secure, accessible retention system that keeps your shotgun exactly where you need it, without sacrificing the ability to quickly deploy or re-holster it.
This system has been tested and approved by real-world breachers running the Genesis Arms Breachy in operational environments. It’s built around the same principles that have made our original system successful with over 200 teams nationwide, including Houston, Dallas, San Diego, the Department of Energy, Army Rangers, Marine Raiders, and Green Berets.
The sling system is manufactured by Snake Eater Tactical. They make outstanding gear and did a great job upgrading my original design.

The Genesis Arms metal plate that surrounds the magazine well is REQUIRED for this retention system to function properly.
